About Us

Alabama Residential Inspection Services, L.L.C. was founded in the year
1999 by Robert D. Eckard Jr., P.E., president of the company and
registered home inspector in the State of Alabama,
Registration # HI-0422.

Robert Eckard is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of
Alabama.  Practicing in Electrical and Controls Engineering, with over 20
years of design and construction experience.

Robert Eckard is certified by the Southern Building Code Congress
International, Inc., as a commercial and residential electrical  inspector,
and also a one and two family dwelling inspector.

Engineering services, professional engineering opinions, engineered
cost estimates, engineering speculations, or engineering calculations,
are not within the scope of the home inspection services provided by
Alabama Residential Inspection Services, L.L.C.  

Alabama Residential Inspection Services, L.L.C. , has been a member of
the North Alabama Better Business Bureau since August 2002.  This
means Alabama Residential Inspection Services, L.L.C. supports the
Bureau's services to the public and meets their membership standards.
Alabama Residential Inspection Services wants to be your home
inspector.

We follow / believe in the ASHI Client Bill of Rights, which are listed below:

To be assured the inspector is objective in his or her reporting and will
not knowingly understate or overstate the significance of reported
conditions.

To be assured the inspector's opinion is based on genuine conviction
within the scope of his or her education and experience.

To be assured the inspector stays current with the industry body of
knowledge through continuing education.

To be assured the inspector will not disclose inspection results or client
information without client approval.

To be assured the inspector has not accepted any form of compensation
for recommending contractors, services or products.

To be assured the inspector will not offer to repair or replace for
compensation any component covered by the ASHI Standards of
Practice for one year after the inspection.

To be assured future referrals to the inspector from real estate agents
are not dependent on the inspection findings or the sale of the property.

To be assured the home inspector has no financial interest in the
transaction.

To be assured the inspector is not receiving compensation for the
inspection from any other party.

To be assured the inspector did not compensate the real estate agent or
other party for the referral to the client.
